The book was published on the occasion of the exhibition "Marialba Russo. Cult Fiction" at Centro PECCI in 2021. Cult Fiction and Public Sex presents Marialba's photographs of adult film posters that filled the streets of Italian cities in period 1978-1980. Accompanied by critical essays by Goffredo Fofi and Elisa Cuter, the book is a small but powerful account of the sexual revolution and women's liberation movement in the social and cinematic context of the 1970s.
